OHL’s Draft Eligible Statistical Leaders: November

At this time last year, Michael Misa was setting the bar sky-high, pacing all draft-eligible players with 48 points in just 24 games. Fast forward to this season, and it’s Pierce Mbuyi carrying the torch, leading the group with 36 points through 29 contests. Still, performances like Misa’s are generational—players of that caliber don’t come along every year.

Looking back to November 2024, Shamar Moses ranked tenth among draft-eligible scorers with 22 points in 24 games. Fast forward to this season, and it’s Cole Zurawski occupying that same position, producing 28 points in 26 contests to edge ahead of last year’s pace.

Last season at this point, Joey Costanzo set the pace among puck stoppers with a .918 save percentage. Fast forward to this year, and the bar has been raised—three different goaltenders are currently posting marks north of .920, underscoring the elevated level of play between the pipes.

Looking back to last season, Matthew Schaefer was limited to just 14 games but still managed 18 points, while Reid Cameron led all defensemen with 22 points in 25 contests. Fast forward to this year, and the pace has picked up—four different blueliners have already surpassed Cameron’s total, though each has logged two or three more games to get there.

This year’s draft class may not feature a headline-grabbing talent like Schaefer or Misa, but what it lacks in star power, it makes up for in depth. Early returns suggest a broader pool of impact players, spreading the spotlight across more names. Still, it’s only December, and in hockey, fortunes can shift fast.

Here is a look at the statistical leaders at the end of November.
