OHL Writer’s Draft Eligible Player of the Month for October: Brady Hinz

Sarnia Sting forward Brady Hinz has been selected our draft eligible player of the month for October. The 5’8” native of Stratford Ontario notched 10 goals while adding 6 assists in 12 games and helping the Sting to the top of the Canadian Hockey League rankings at the end of October.

Hinz recorded 3 multi-goal games and 5 multi-point games. Among players eligible for the 2018 National Hockey League Draft, Hinz is tied for top spot in goals, second in points, leads in the plus/minus department, owns the longest goal scoring streak of the season, the second longest assist an point streak of the season, and leads all OHL players in shooting percentage.

Hinz was named the OHL ‘On the Run’ Player of the week for October 9 to October 15 and runner up for CHL Player of the Week for the same period.

Also considered were: Mississauga Steelheads forward Ryan McLeod who had 4 goals and 9 assists in 10 games. Akil Thomas of the Niagara IceDogs notched 3 goals while adding 10 assists in 11 games.
