FORWARD OF THE MONTH: ALEX KOSTOV – FLINT FIREBIRDS

Draft re-entry candidate for 2026, Kostov delivered a statement month in November, piling up 9 goals and 9 assists across 10 games while recording at least one point in every outing. His signature performance came on November 7, when he lit up the North Bay Battalion with four goals. Remarkably, he followed that effort the very next night with a three-goal showing against the Guelph Storm, cementing one of the most memorable back-to-back performances of the season.

Beyond the scoring touch, Kostov was reliable in the faceoff circle, winning 77 of 145 draws for a 53.1% success rate. His efficiency stood out as well—he generated 36 shots on goal and converted at a sharp 25.0% clip.

Other standouts in November included Owen Sound’s Pierce Mbuyi, who posted 6 goals and 11 assists in 13 games, and Ottawa’s Jasper Kuhta, who chipped in 5 goals and 10 assists over 12 contests.

DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH: CHASE REID – SOO GREYHOUNDS

Reid continues to generate buzz in draft circles, and November only strengthened his case. The dynamic defenseman produced 7 goals and 5 assists in just 10 games, showcasing his ability to drive offense from the back end. His impact was felt in key moments—two of his tallies came on the power play, while another stood as the game-winner.

Reid’s shot volume was equally impressive, firing 44 pucks on net throughout the month. His most dominant outing came on November 7 against the Guelph Storm, where he peppered the opposition with 8 shots.

Also in the mix was Windsor’s Carson Woodall, our reigning Defenseman of the Month for September and October. Woodall remained steady with 5 goals and 7 assists across 12 games for the Spitfires.

GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH: BEN HREBIK – BARRIE COLTS

The OHL Goaltender of the Week (Nov. 10–16) was a clear choice for us here. Hrebik delivered a dominant stretch, going 6-0-1-1 in eight appearances while turning aside 282 of 298 shots for a stellar .946 save percentage. He rose to the occasion under heavy fire, facing 40-plus shots three times and posting a 2-0-0-1 record in those outings. On two other nights, he stopped 39 shots en route to a perfect 2-0-0-0 mark. His consistency was underscored by a sharp 1.96 goals-against average across the month.

Also in the conversation was Peterborough’s Easton Rye, who put together an impressive run of his own. Rye went 8-2-0-0 in 10 games, stopping 326 of 351 shots for a .929 save percentage.

FORWARD OF THE MONTH: Tristan Delisle – Owen Sound Attack

Delisle has been a model of consistency to start the season, registering at least one point in every game to date. October was particularly productive, as the forward racked up 19 points—7 goals and 12 assists—across the month, including six multi-point outings. His standout performance came on October 29, when he netted a hat trick against the Sarnia Sting. The OHL took notice, naming him a finalist for Player of the Month honors.

Also considered was his teammate Pierce Mbuyi who had 7 goals and 9 assists and Nikita Klepov of the Saginaw Spirit with 6 goals and 9 assists in 11 games.

DEFENSEMAN OF THE MONTH: Carson Woodall – Windsor Spitfires

Carson Woodall has earned back-to-back honors as our Draft-Eligible Defenseman of the Month, continuing his standout campaign with another impressive stretch in October. Over 11 games, the blueliner tallied two goals and 13 assists, leading all draft-eligible defensemen in scoring for the month. That brings his season totals to 3 goals and 20 assists through 17 games—an early statement from a rising prospect.

Woodall recorded four multi-assist performances and registering points in all but one outing—October 4 against the Brantford Bulldogs. His consistent production and playmaking prowess earned him OHL Defenseman of the Month honors, further cementing his status as one of the league’s top draft-eligible blueliners.

Also earning consideration was Soo Greyhounds blueliner Chase Reid, who quietly put together a strong October. Over 12 games, Reid notched two goals and added 12 assists, anchoring the Greyhounds’ transition game with steady production from the back end.

GOALTENDER OF THE MONTH: Vladislav Yermolenko – Niagara IceDogs

Named a runner-up for OHL Goaltender of the Month, Yermolenko earns our nod as the Draft-Eligible Goaltender of the Month after a standout October. The netminder posted a 5-1-0-1 record across seven appearances, closing the month on a five-game winning streak. He faced a heavy workload—234 shots in total—and turned aside 215 of them. While others may boast flashier numbers, few matched Yermolenko’s volume or consistency between the pipes.

Also earning recognition were North Bay’s Jack Lisson and Ottawa’s Jaeden Nelson, both of whom turned in strong October performances. Lisson posted a stellar .942 save percentage, stopping 81 of 86 shots across three outings for the Battalion. Nelson, meanwhile, faced a heavier workload with five appearances for the 67’s, turning aside 173 of 189 shots to keep his club competitive.

ATTACK’S PIERCE MBUYI EARNS EMMS FAMILY AWARD AS OHL ROOKIE OF THE YEAR

Toronto, ON – The Ontario Hockey League (OHL) today announced that Owen Sound Attack forward Pierce Mbuyi is awarded the Emms Family Award as OHL Rookie of the Year as voted by the League’s General Managers.

Mbuyi led OHL rookies with 29 goals and 52 points over 63 games, setting a new single season points record by an Owen Sound 16-year-old rookie in the process. He had a highly productive second half of the season, producing 38 points (21-17–38), including three hat-tricks, over 33 games after January 1st. Mbuyi was the OHL’s Rookie of the Month for February and earned Rookie of the Week honours three different times.

“It is a huge honour to be named OHL Rookie of the Year,” said Mbuyi. “I couldn’t have done it without my teammates, coaches and everyone behind the scenes in Owen Sound. I want to thank my coaches for their trust and belief in me, giving me so much opportunity to play every night. I also want to thank my billets Jason and Shirra for welcoming me into their home and treating me as one of their own. Lastly, I want to thank all my friends and family back home for all their support, I really couldn’t have done it without them.”

Selected seventh overall by the Attack from the Toronto Marlboros U16 AAA program in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection, Mbuyi also led OHL rookies with 11 power play goals and 180 shots on goal in 2024-25. He won a silver medal with Canada Red at the 2024 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge, and will be eligible for the 2026 NHL Draft.

“We are incredibly proud of what Pierce has been able to accomplish this season and to be acknowledged as the OHL Rookie of the Year is outstanding,” said Attack General Manager Dale DeGray. “With some of the players we’ve had come through Owen Sound, it’s hard to believe that Pierce is the first Attack recipient of this award. It speaks volumes to how Pierce was able to perform this season with such a young team. His skill and effort was certainly noticeable from the very start, as you could tell from the crowd’s reaction when he scored a goal. Congratulations Pierce, it’s a tremendous accomplishment.”

Mbuyi is the first player in Owen Sound’s OHL history to win the award. He follows other recent winners in Brantford Bulldogs forward Jake O’Brien (2023-24) and Saginaw Spirit forward Michael Misa (2022-23).

The Emms Family Award was donated by Leighton “Hap” Emms, former owner of the Barrie, Niagara Falls and St. Catharines OHL franchises. The award is selected by all 20 member team General Managers. Teams were asked to submit only one nominee from their own club for consideration on the ballot and were not permitted to vote for the player from their own hockey club.

Mbuyi finished as the front-runner in the award voting process followed by Windsor Spitfires forward Ethan Belchetz who placed second.

Pierce Mbuyi will be formally recognized as the OHL Rookie of the Year at the 2025 OHL Awards Ceremony to be held at The Hockey Hall of Fame in June.

Bulldogs’ Cole Brown Named Cogeco OHL Player of the Week

New Jersey Devils prospect Cole Brown of the Brantford Bulldogs is the OHL Player of the Week, recording seven points (5-2–7) in a pair of Bulldogs victories.

Brown got in on the scoring fun Friday night at home to the Niagara IceDogs, joining teammates Nick Lardis and Marek Vanacker with hat-tricks in a lopsided 10-1 win at the Civic Centre. Brown stretched his point streak to eight games in St. Catharines on Sunday, recording two goals and an assist for first star honours in a 5-4 win.

A 19-year-old from Aurora, Ont., Brown has 26 goals, 30 assists and 56 points over 53 games in his fourth season with the Bulldogs. The 6-foot-3, 189Ib. right-wing has produced career totals that include 68 goals, 90 assists and 158 points over 227 career regular season games, having the opportunity to hoist the J. Ross Robertson Cup as an OHL champion in 2022. Brown was New Jersey’s sixth round (164th overall) pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. The Bulldogs originally selected him in the third round (43rd overall) of the 2021 OHL Priority Selection.

Also considered for the award this week, Saginaw Spirit teammates Igor Chernyshov and Michael Misa were both dialed in. The former recorded nine points (3-6–9) over three outings while Misa made Spirit history, finishing with six goals and an assist last week to set a new club single-season goal-scoring mark.

67’s’ Collin MacKenzie Named OHL Goaltender of the Week

Collin MacKenzie of the Ottawa 67’s is the OHL Goaltender of the Week, going 2-1 with a 2.00 goals-against average, a .941 save percentage and one shutout.

MacKenzie helped the 67’s in their playoff push, stopping a combined 64-of-65 shots in back-to-back wins over the Peterborough Petes. The overage goaltender logged his first shutout of the season on Wednesday, making 29 saves as Ottawa beat Peterborough 3-0. He was excellent on the road at the PMC on Friday, stopping 35-of-36 in a 4-1 win. MacKenzie took to the crease on Sunday, making 31 saves as Ottawa came up short against the Kitchener Rangers.

A 20-year-old from Elora, Ont., MacKenzie is 8-17-1-2 with a 3.76 goals-against average and .883 save percentage in his fourth season with the 67’s. The former eighth round (160th overall) pick by the Barber Poles in 2020 is a career 47-30-6-3 with a 2.98 goals-against average, .899 save percentage and three shutouts over 98 career regular season games.

Also considered for the award this week, Brantford’s Ryerson Leenders went 2-0 with a 2.50 goals-against average and .924 save percentage while Andrew Oke of the Saginaw Spirit had a perfect 3-0 showing with a 2.99 goals-against average and .920 save percentage.

Attack’s Pierce Mbuyi Named OHL Rookie of the Week

Owen Sound Attack forward Pierce Mbuyi is the OHL Rookie of the Week having recorded seven points (3-4–7) over two contests.

Mbuyi potted his third hat-trick in an eight-game span on Friday as the Attack defeated the Erie Otters 8-5, a game that saw Mbuyi tack on two assists for a five-point outing. He pitched in with two more helpers on Saturday as Owen Sound fell 4-3 to the Otters in overtime.

A 16-year-old from Mississauga, Ont., Mbuyi leads OHL rookies with 23 goals, adding 17 assists for 40 points through 48 games. He also leads the league’s rookies with 131 shots on goal. The Attack selected Mbuyi with their first round (7th overall) pick in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection from the Toronto Marlboros U16 AAA program.

Spirit’s Igor Chernyshov Named Cogeco OHL Player of the Week

San Jose Sharks prospect Igor Chernyshov of the Saginaw Spirit is the Cogeco OHL Player of the Week, registering five goals, five assists and 10 points over three contests.

Chernyshov opened the week with a pair of goals and an assist on Wednesday to earn first star honours in a 6-3 win over the Windsor Spitfires. He followed up with a goal and an assist in a 4-2 loss to the Brantford Bulldogs on Friday, earning third star honours. Chernyshov delivered a dominant five-point outing on Saturday, registering a pair of goals and three assists to earn first star honours in a high-scoring 10-7 win against the Guelph Storm.

The 19-year-old from Penza, Russia overcame offseason shoulder surgery and has appeared in five games with the Spirit this season, tallying eight goals, six assists and 14 points. He was Saginaw’s first round (56th overall) pick in the the 2024 CHL Import Draft. Standing at 6-foot-3 and 225lb., Chernyshov was selected in the second round (33rd overall) of the 2024 NHL Draft by the San Jose Sharks.

Also considered for the award this week, Spirit teammate and top 2025 NHL Draft-eligible prospect Michael Misa posted four goals and seven assists. Another top 2025 NHL Draft prospect, Porter Martone of the Brampton Steelheads, stood out with nine points (3-6-9) in two games.

Bulldogs’ Ryerson Leenders Named OHL Goaltender of the Week

Buffalo Sabres prospect Ryerson Leenders of the Brantford Bulldogs is the OHL Goaltender of the Week for the second time this season, going 2-0-1-0 along with a 1.98 goals-against average, and a .944 save percentage.

Turning aside an impressive 101 shots last week, Leenders made 37 of those stops in a 2-1 win over the Sudbury Wolves on Wednesday to earn first star honours. He returned to the crease on Friday, making 31 saves in a 4-2 win against the Saginaw Spirit. Leenders wrapped up the week on Saturday, turning aside 34 of 37 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Windsor Spitfires.

An 18-year-old from Nanticoke, Ont., Leenders is 19-11-3-0 on the season, with a 3.20 goals-against average and .906 save percentage in 33 games played. The former second-round (32nd overall) pick by Mississauga in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection is now in his third OHL season, owning a career mark of 55-43-10-0 with a 3.25 goals-against average, .900 save percentage and three shutouts over 114 regular season games. Leenders was selected in the seventh round (202nd overall) by Buffalo at the 2024 NHL Draft last summer.

Also considered for the award this week, Brampton Steelheads netminder Jack Ivankovic went 2-0-0-0 including a shutout with a 1.50 goals-against average and .944 save percentage, while Jacob Oster of the Oshawa Generals was also a standout in the crease, going 3-0-0-0 including a shutout, along with a 1.00 goals-against average and .948 save percentage.

Attack’s Pierce Mbuyi Named OHL Rookie of the Week

Owen Sound Attack forward Pierce Mbuyi is the OHL Rookie of the Week for the second time this season, recording three goals and assists over three contests.

Mbuyi kicked off the week with his second hat-trick of the season on Friday, scoring it in a span of seven-and-a-half minutes in the first period in the Attack’s 4-3 loss to Kitchener. He claimed second star recognition again on Saturday with two primary assists in a 4-1 win over North Bay. The 5-foot-10, 153lb. forward capped the week with another assist on Sunday as Owen Sound fell 4-2 to the Kingston Frontenacs.

Spirit’s Zayne Parekh Named Cogeco OHL Player of the Week

Calgary Flames prospect Zayne Parekh of the Saginaw Spirit is the Cogeco OHL Player of the Week, registering five goals, three assists and eight points over three contests.

Parekh opened the week with an assist on Thursday in an 8-6 loss to the Peterborough Petes. He followed up with a two-goal, one-assist performance in a 7-6 shootout loss to the Kingston Frontenacs on Friday, earning third star honours. On Sunday, Parekh delivered a dominant outing, scoring his second hat trick of the season and adding an assist for a four-point afternoon, leading the Spirit to a 7-2 win over the Ottawa 67’s and earning first star honours. With 15 points in his last five games, Parekh crossed the 20-goal plateau for a third straight season.

The 18-year-old from Nobleton, Ont. ranks second among OHL blueliners in points this season with 59 (21-38–59) in 39 games. Selected ninth overall by the Calgary Flames in the 2024 NHL Draft, the 6-foot, 185lb. defenceman has amassed a club record among blueliners of 192 points (75-117-192) in 155 regular season games for Saginaw since being drafted 19th overall in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection. Parekh has also recorded 20 points (8-12-20) in 24 playoff games, highlighted by being crowned a 2024 Memorial Cup champion as part of the host team. Additionally, he earned both OHL and CHL Defenceman of the Year honours in 2024.

Also considered for the award this week, Spirit teammate and top 2025 NHL Draft-eligible prospect Michael Misa posted two goals and six assists. Vegas Golden Knights prospect Tuomas Uronen of the Kingston Frontenacs was also a standout, recording nine points (3-6-9) in three games played.

Knights’ Austin Elliott Named OHL Goaltender of the Week

Austin Elliott of the London Knights is the OHL Goaltender of the Week, playing to a 2-0 record along with a 2.00 goals-against average and 9.33 save percentage.

Making a total of 56 saves last week, Elliott turned aside 31 of 32 shots on Thursday as the Knights defeated the North Bay Battalion 4-1. The 6-foot-1, 180lb. netminder returned to the crease on Sunday, stopping 25 of 28 shots in a 7-3 road win over the Soo Greyhounds for his 20th consecutive win.

A 20-year-old from Strathmore, AB, Elliott has been dominant this season, remaining undefeated with a perfect 20-0 record, including two shutouts, a 2.27 goals-against average, and a .916 save percentage. His 20 consecutive wins are four shy of a record held by Ray LeBlanc of the 1983-84 Kitchener Rangers, who earned 24 consecutive victories. The Knights acquired the overage goaltender from the Barrie Colts, who had claimed him off CHL waivers in early October. Elliott transitioned to the OHL after starting his career with the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades.

Also considered for the award this week, Jackson Parsons of the Kitchener Rangers was excellent, going 2-0 with a 2.50 goals-against average and .922 save percentage, while Ben Hrebik of the Barrie Colts also played to a 2-0 record, along with a 2.50 goals-against average and .918 save percentage.

Spirit’s Dimian Zhilkin Named OHL Rookie of the Week

Saginaw Spirit forward Dimian Zhilkin is the OHL Rookie of the Week, recording a goal and five assists over three games played.

Zhilkin opened the week with a goal and an assist on Thursday in an 8-6 loss to the Peterborough Petes. He continued his strong play on Friday, contributing two assists in a 7-6 shootout loss to the Kingston Frontenacs. The 5-foot-9, 160lb. right-winger capped the week with another two assists in a 7-2 win over the Ottawa 67’s on Sunday.

Selected 19th overall by Saginaw in the 2024 OHL Priority Selection from the Toronto Jr. Canadiens U16 AAA program, the Toronto native is excelling in his rookie campaign, tallying 23 points (7-16–23) in 30 games this season.

Also considered for the award this week, Spirit teammate Jacob Cloutier recorded five points (3-2–5), while Owen Sound Attack forward Pierce Mbuyi stood out with four goals in three games.

Knights’ Sam Dickinson Named Cogeco OHL Player of the Week

London Knights defenceman Sam Dickinson is the Cogeco OHL Player of the Week, recording seven points including two goals and five assists as the Knights strung together three straight wins.

Dickinson, who was selected by the San Jose Sharks with the 11th overall pick of the 2024 NHL Draft, started the week off with an overtime winner along with an assist in Friday’s 4-3 win over the Brantford Bulldogs. Dickinson followed Friday’s first star performance with another on Saturday in Saginaw, scoring and tacking on a helper as the Knights defeated the host Spirit 4-1. He rounded-out the weekend with three assists as London defeated the Sarnia Sting 5-2 on the road.

An 18-year-old from Toronto, Dickinson leads the Knights in scoring, and is second in points among OHL blueliners with 15 (7-8–15) over 10 games. The 6-foot-3, 200Ib. left-shot blueliner leads OHL defencemen with 55 shots on goal in this, his third OHL season. Formerly a fourth overall pick by the Niagara IceDogs in the 2022 OHL Priority Selection, Dickinson has recorded 108 points (34-74–108) over 140 career regular season contests in London. He put up 13 points (4-9–13) over 18 games in last year’s playoffs as the Knights were crowned OHL champions.

Also considered for the award this week, Anaheim Ducks prospect Beckett Sennecke produced seven points (5-2–7) in three games for the Oshawa Generals, Peterborough Petes sophomore Aiden Young (5-2–7) had a similar stat line and Calgary Flames prospect Luke Misa of the Brampton Steelheads had seven points (4-3–7) in two outings, getting in on Sunday’s 10-1 win over the Guelph Storm.

Firebirds’ Nathan Day Named OHL Goaltender of the Week

Edmonton Oilers prospect Nathan Day of the Flint Firebirds is the OHL Goaltender of the Week, going 2-0-0-1 with a 0.97 goals-against average, .969 save percentage and one shutout.

Day turned aside 94 shots last week, helping the Firebirds collect five of a possible six points. He made 22 saves in Wednesday morning’s 2-1 shootout loss in Sarnia before rebounding on Friday in Guelph, turning aside 35 shots as Flint beat the Storm 7-2. Day was at his best on Saturday back at home, making 37 saves in his first career OHL shutout as the Firebirds beat Owen Sound 3-0.

A 19-year-old from Grimsby, Ont., Day is 6-4-0-1 on the season with a 2.26 goals-against average and .918 save percentage over 11 games. Day was Edmonton’s sixth-round (184th overall) pick in the 2023 NHL Draft. The former third round (57th overall) pick by Flint in 2021 is now in his fourth OHL season, owning a career mark of 50-43-1-3 with a 3.60 goals-against average, .876 save percentage and one shutout over 105 regular season games.

Also considered for the award this week, Kitchener Rangers netminder Jackson Parsons went 2-0 with a 2.49 goals-against average and .919 save percentage while Sam Hillebrandt of the Barrie Colts was also sharp, going 1-1-0-0 with a 1.51 goals-against average and .949 save percentage.

Firebirds’ Cole Zurawski Named OHL Rookie of the Week

Flint Firebirds forward Cole Zurawski is the OHL Rookie of the Week, recording two goals and two assists over three contests.

Zurawski recorded his first career multi-goal effort on Friday in Guelph, scoring twice while adding an assist as the Firebirds beat the Guelph Storm 7-2. Zurawski followed-up the second star performance with an assist as the Firebirds defeated the Owen Sound Attack at home on Saturday.

A 16-year-old from Barrie, Ont., Zurawski has recorded nine points (4-5–9) through his first 12 games of the season. The 6-foot, 181Ib. right-winger was selected by Flint with the sixth overall pick of the 2024 OHL Priority Selection. Zurawski will represent Canada White at the 2024 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge that begins on Nov. 3rd in Sarnia.

Also considered for the award this week, Owen Sound Attack forward Pierce Mbuyi recorded four points (1-3–4) in three games while Barrie Colts forward Parker Vaughan produced three (2-1–3) in as many games.

Bulldogs’ Calvin Crombie Named Cogeco OHL Player of the Week

Brantford Bulldogs forward Calvin Crombie is the Cogeco OHL Player of the Week, leading the league with 10 points over three contests.

Crombie helped the Bulldogs rebound to go 3-0 this past week, scoring once while adding nine assists on a lethal line alongside Nick Lardis and Patrick Thomas. Crombie began the week with three assists in Wednesday’s 5-1 win over the visiting Sarnia Sting. The Bulldogs hit the road on Friday and Crombie took his offensive productivity with him to the nation’s capital, scoring while adding three assists in a 6-3 win over the Ottawa 67’s. Crombie closed out the week on Saturday, recording an assist on all three Brantford goals as the Bulldogs defeated the Kingston Frontenacs 3-2 in the game’s final minute.

A 19-year-old right-winger from Hamilton, Ont., Crombie is in his second season with the Bulldogs, putting up 11 points (1-10—11) through his first seven games of the season. A former 15th round (297th overall) pick by the London Knights in 2022, Crombie spent time with the GOJHL’s Caledonia Corvairs before entering the OHL. He is the nephew of former Knights forward Chris Crombie (1989-92).

Also given consideration for the award this week, Bulldogs linemate Nick Lardis put the finishing touches of Crombie’s playmaking, scoring six times while adding two assists over three games. Kitchener Rangers forward Adrian Misaljevic was also a standout, with seven points (3-4—7) over three games for the Blueshirts.

Wolves’ Finn Marshall Named OHL Goaltender of the Week

Sudbury Wolves netminder Finn Marshall is the OHL Goaltender of the Week after he went 2-0 with a 1.80 goals-against average, .946 save percentage and one shutout in a trio of appearances last week.

Marshall’s early-season success story continued as he opened the week with a 40-save shutout on Thursday in Peterborough, helping the Wolves skate to a 1-0 win at the PMC. Marshall was thrust into a relief appearance on Friday in Kingston as the Wolves came out on the short end of a 7-2 outcome. Wolves head coach Scott Barney went back to Marshall on Sunday in Ottawa, a start that resulted in 24 saves as Sudbury defeated the 67’s 4-1. In all, Marshall led the league with 87 saves across 167 minutes of action.

An 18-year-old from Toronto, Marshall 4-0 to begin his OHL career, recording a 2.09 goals-against average and .933 save percentage in the process. The former 13th round (246th overall) pick by Sudbury in 2022 spent last season with the OJHL’s Georgetown Raiders, playing to a mark of 17-11-1 with a 2.85 goals-against average and .915 save percentage over 33 contests.

Also considered for the award this week, Buffalo Sabres prospect Ryerson Leenders of the Brantford Bulldogs backstopped his team to a pair of road wins with a 1.50 goals-against average and .949 save percentage.

Attack’s Pierce Mbuyi Named OHL Rookie of the Week

Owen Sound Attack forward Pierce Mbuyi is the OHL Rookie of the Week, recording two goals and an assist over three contests.

Mbuyi helped the Attack earn five of a possible six points with a pair of wins following an overtime loss. He pitched in with an assist in Wednesday’s 5-4 defeat at the hands of the London Knights. Mbuyi and the Attack handed the Niagara IceDogs their first loss by a score of 6-4 on Friday in St. Catharines before the Bears returned home on Saturday, with Mbuyi scoring twice in a 7-2 win over the Peterborough Petes to earn second star recognition.
